That was me on Christmas Day 1973 with my Dinky Thunderbird 2 toy.

Ever since I was a young boy, the toys made famous by the classic TV and Films of the 60s, 70s and 80s have always been a passion for me.
So what better way to keep that passion alive, than by recreating the fantastic artwork and packaging those toys came in.
I started my repro box journey 20 years ago with just a handful of boxes. But the range of boxes soon grew to the selection available today.
The Accidental Repro Box Maker!
This my friends was the first repro box I ever made!
Rubbish isn't it?
But you should have seen the repro box that I had just received off of eBay that I made this copy from.
You could say that I started my repro box journey purely by accident.

The first repro box I made! What a mess!
It all started when I ordered a repro box from a seller on eBay for my childhood Eagle Transporter.
But on receiving it, I found that the box was extremely badly put together and, to top it all it wasn't even the correct size for the Transporter!
So, I took the box apart (which wasn't hard) and scanned it in to my computer, made a few adjustments in an art package and printed it out on some very flimsy card.
The result is what you see above.
Although, looking back on it now, I still cringe at the result, it was certainly an improvement on the one I had received.
Thankfully, my box making skills have improved a bit over the years, and now my Eagle Transporter (and possibly yours too) will sit proudly in one of the boxes I make now (see right).
